Go ahead and deflect. Bottom line, you wasn't man enough to do my job.
Oh. See, I’ve heard it all.

I’ve heard I’m a drug addict because of abandonment issues since I was given up for adoption.

I’ve heard it’s because I was raised by white parents.

I’ve heard it’s because I wasn’t raised by black parents.

I’ve heard it’s because I never found my birth parents.

I’ve heard it’s because I was the only black kid in town.

I’ve heard it’s because I never finished college.

I’ve heard it’s because I cheated on my college girlfriends a lot.

I’ve even heard it’s because I couldn’t do your job. And you’re not even the first to suggest that one.

It’s probably all psychobabble bullcrap.
Then again, what difference does it make?

I happen to be a great husband, father, son and brother. I volunteer in my community and make a difference in people’s lives. I go to work and I happen to be pretty damn good at it. I have a good life.

By the way, I’m glad you can do your job. I guess. Don’t mistake that for envying you in the least. I don’t.
