So to you it's all about winning elections I guess, sad.

I was speaking about economics not your garbage partisan games.
I'll play your game, it's not about elections, explain how they affect the economics in a macro sense, and in the effect on the individual American which would be the micro consequences of illegals.

Congressman Duffy's wife was on Fox & Friends this morning. She was saying that the phones rang off the hook during the 2013 shutdown under Obama....people were mad!

This time the phones aren't ringing off the hook so much.

Government shut downs are a joke, it’s shut down right now, only 17% of federal employees are effected.
Only 17% of the employees may be effected, but what a lot of people don’t think about is how it effects the local economy. With government workers not getting paid, they’re not spending as much money. They’re not sending their kids to daycare. Not going out to restaurants. Buying less gas. Doing minimal shopping, etc.

Military won't get their paychecks on time.

.... but the welfare checks will still go out of course.

I don’t get why you so against privatized business. Why would anyone go into the medical field something requires over a decade of learning and training to get into? Where would be the drive for people to innovate and produce? I suggest you read a bit of Adam Smith.
Good point, those evil socialized medicine countries don't have any doctors. Somehow their results are still superior. The US is the only industrialized country where the life expectancy is going down. We spend more public money on healthcare than most of the socialized countries per capita, we just spend it inefficiently.

I won't accept any statement you have made without sourcing, there is evidence to the contrary. But I am intrigued by "public" money. What is public money? It's a legitimate question, no need to be fearful, I won't attack personally or demean you.

The military is paid up thru Feb 1st. If the shutdown lasts that long then they won't be paid.
I wouldn't bet on that assertion. There are current tax receipts coming in daily to meet obligations. It is the administrations responsibility what to pay. Debt obligations would be first, avoiding any default and my guess is the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines would be highest on Trumps priority list.

I was referring to oldngray when he said the military won't get their paychecks, not the accounts payable.

my uncle in Germany went through this "better" system. by the time he made it through the approval process to get seen by a hospital and doctors that could help him it was too late and he ended up dying of liver cancer.

Sorry for your loss. But I doubt the end result would have been any different if it were done faster..

Anecdotes are not useful for policy. Socialized healthcare systems provide a better standard of care and higher life expectancy for a lower cost than our current hodgepodge of private and multiple public systems.
