Guess that warehouse worker didn't know/ check...

Some of these customers should be in a nursing home, not being alone in a smaller ranch style home.

I'm always seeing an ambulance and state troopers weekly to escort them to the er/hospital weekly

A few I find them on the drivway by the mailbox...

The first thing I do is ask if they have a life alert button or a cellphone on their person.

Then, I alert their neighbors to dial 911 or stay with the fallen, while I run inside for a blanket or pillow...

The ambulance/ volunteer emergency response is located nearby, under 5 minutes max to get in the gated community. They have their own gated entry with remotes or gate code.

Over the years, I've lost a few customers this way... too stubborn to even have visiting nurses to swing by weekly

Heh, I can't stand the sight of blood.... otherwise I would've been in the medical field.

Yeah only April and I had to stop and "do the right thing" a few times already.

Respect thy elders was part of my upbringing, butt there's a few old farts on here that I'll pretend to not see them laying face down on their driveway (j/k)

I once got "chewed out" by a customer who complained that I was asking for a signature for her wine.. she said "my regular driver has no problem leaving it" I said I am your regular driver, she corrected herself and said the ground driver.. I let her know it was not allowed and possibly illegal. I followed up with my manager about it...whoops someone lost their job.

Because it is easy to verify where, and for corporate security to interview the customer, to confirm that a State or Federal law was broken by your employee, putting FedEx at risk of fine or suspension.
Don’t ask, don’t tell isn’t a defense.

Just curious, what's the length of dq status for this particular case... forging a customer's ASR?

I think it's 3 years? Saw a driver come back and guess he couldn't find something better during that lwop period...

No one is putting in that effort to follow up a lead from an employee of another company, but by all means continue to pretend Express drivers are such a higher quality than Ground since that’s the entire point of your post.

Who would? Someone who cares how the company appears to the public, someone who cares if some random kids decide to steal that package get drunk and die... Someone who takes this menial job seriously.

Trifling, this is hardly a trivial issue, sure a stolen phone is meh...but booze and guns are serious. I believe it was back in 07 or 08 when FDX lost the ability to carry alcohol in a certain state(I think NH, but can't be sure) but the reason was, either Express or Ground, falsified and got busted for either releasing to minors, or forging signatures, so yeah it's a big deal.
