I heard it 6 years ago, and now i'm hearing it again, that sort isle and small sort may be going away in some locations. not sure the truth on this
Sort aisle went away here about seven years ago. We also explained the building. So there was no job loss here actually probably added about three or 400. If they’re automating your facility, that’s a good sign for your area, but it may be a bad sign for smaller centers elsewhere.

The UPS automated balkanization phenomenon is real! Do you think the Union would ever consider reducing the transfer restrictions penalties/ loss of seniority stance in the future! Automation has moved the overton window.

No, they will never consider it. The union would have to push hard for something like that. And that would be a chore because of the dovetailing of seniority issue for locals.

It'll be an automated system with a trimmed down small sort bagging crew. My building automated basically when I got hired 10 years ago. They also said it would be the end of misloads which was bull:censored2: so take everything with a grain of salt.

Gotchu. I'll send her your way
