Some Honest Advice Please?

This is not good advice.

Work as directed, keep your head down, and mind your own business.

This seasonal has no rights with regards to the contract, and no reason to interfere in whatever is going on nearby.

If what is going on is wrong, a steward will be the one to address it.

Minding your own business is a lost art that I hope more people take the time to learn.
If she’s getting harassed and someone is putting their hands on her then it’s wrong. It’s never acceptable. Ever that’s why I responded with this reply

Correct minding your own business is key and what goes on between workmates is not the problem or our business.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

No one was touching her….

I find it funny that you have no problem telling me that my issues are an excuse and how I have to ignore my :censored2: and pretend like I’m normal would you go up to a blind person and tell them if they just try hard enough they can read this book stop using your issues as an excuse?
Or what about someone with schizophrenia or who is has down syndrome. You going to tell them that they’re just using things as an excuse when they attempt to explain to ableist bigots why they are the way they are and there is no way to fix it. Because trust me most of us would give anything to be normal.
You're not really a woman, are you?

Hey Guys, I need some help. I am having some issues with my training supervisor. I know it is her job to tell me what to do and I am in no way saying that I did not do anything wrong, but I am trying to figure out if I should report her to HR over what has been happening so I am going to tell you all what happened over the last five days. I am also going to apologize ahead of time because this is gonna be a bit long, but I could really use some honest (feel free to be brutal if you want/have to) advice from someone who has been at UPS for a while

Tuesday - Hire Date

I pretty much got a tour and filled out some paperwork so the reloader manager could get me into the system and I could actually start working.

Wednesday - Orientation Day, Sort of

I watched all the videos and then received a more extensive tour and told what happens when it happens how to do stuff like a basic walk-through how-to thing.

Thursday - First Actual Training Day

The day started out pretty good I was introduced to the other preloaders in my area I was introduced to the person who was to supervise me she is a Seasonal Training Supervisor who I am just going to refer to as Jane for this. Toward the end of my shift, the driver of the truck I was loading arrived and he and Jane one in the truck to the front of the truck while I was still finishing up loading and they seemed to be arguing about something I only caught a few words of it he said „you always be like this“ she scoffed and playfully shoved him and moved to walk back to the end of the truck and at that point I was walking back out of the truck to grab another package when I turned around he had grabbed her wrist and a different tone of voice he said „hey, don’t do me like that“ which made me very uncomfortable because I realized they were more than likely dating and having relationship drama at work Forward to Friday

Friday – training day two

When I arrived at work I informed the preload manager about the situation I witnessed between Jane and the driver and I asked if I could be moved to a different area because I felt uncomfortable by it he said I couldn’t because he was shortstaffed on supervisors so I said OK. Throughout the shift she sat in the front seat of the same truck and she was either texting or sleeping, at least that’s what she appeared to be doing and the only time she came out of the truck was to either scold me for helping other people because that wasn’t my job even though I had nothing to do, I had a small truckload, and when we went on break. I was going to inform the manager but I figured it’s only my second day and I thought it really wasn’t my place to say anything

Saturday – this morning
I was there for about 45 minutes when the one splitter we had suddenly got overwhelmed by a lot of packages and he couldn’t keep up the loader from the truck next to me we can call him Jeff left his truck to go help the guy but they were still falling behind so another preload we can call him Bob left his two trucks to also help but then he ended up with an overwhelmingly amount of packages of his own that he needed to go load into his trucks that is when the splitter called out „has anyone seen Jane?“ since once again my truckload was light I went over there and I started helping. About a half hour later Jeff needed to use the bathroom and we were still getting slammed with packages so I told him to go the splitter told him that we take care of packages put them in a pile next to his truck until he gets back. Since we were there were maybe eight by the time he got back and pretty much right when he got back Jane decides to walk out of the truck she was in apparently the entire time and she snapped at me and told me that they didn’t need help and to go back to my truck which I was going to do anyway because Jeff came back so I went back and I put my packages in the truck not even five minutes later the splitter gets another rush of packages and this time it was even bigger than the last rush and this time it was Jeff who called out does anyone know where Jane is. Everyone just kind of looked at him didn’t say anything, a few minutes later had dozens of packages in it, and he was growing increasingly annoyed. So despite her telling me not to help I chose to help anyway because no one else was Jeff still had his own job to do. So we tagged out so he could quickly fill up his truck and get rid of the pile of packages which of course I started getting a pile of packages I had maybe five or six when he came back to tag me out so I could go back to my truck and once again right as that was happening Jane decides to come out of the truck and snaps at me again. I tried to explain very politely that there was a rush of packages and they needed help. And she said I don’t care that’s not your job that she already has a splitter and doesn’t need anymore and that I could either go back to my truck or go home. I exchanged glances with the two boys, and once again I tried to tell her that they needed help. To which she then snapped and said fine if you want to do the job so much you can do it on your own. She pointed to the splitter and told him to go take over my truck and he looked at me but didn’t do anything so then she got angrier and said now if she wants the job that badly it’s hers. She stopped the line and pointed at my truck. he looked at me again but then crossed over and went to put packages in the truck. Less than 30 seconds later she walked right back into the truck that she was in. Feeling incredibly overwhelmed and knowing an anxiety attack was about to happen I needed to step away and I went into the truck that I was loading and went to sit on the steps so I could try to calm down. Eventually the manager came to ask me what happened to which I accidentally blurted out she’s being a bitch and he told me not to be speaking about his employees like that and I said sorry I hadn’t meant to come out like that I’m just very blunt. But I told him what happened and how she kept disappearing into the truck and no one could find her when they needed her I told him what I said I told him what others had said he had me go sit in the conference room and take a minute and he would come back in to talk to me but he had to go do something. He came back about 10 minutes later and saw that I was still having a hard time so he told me I should go home and cool off and calm down and that he would see me on Tuesday and he told me that he spoke to Jane. I saw her leaving his office as I was leaving and she just went back to work.

I feel like I should notify HR, but I don’t really know if they’re actually effective or not or if they even care, and as nice as my manager seems I’m pretty sure he’s going to prioritize the fact that he’s understaffed over the fact that she clearly isn’t doing her job. He did say he would put me with a different supervisor next week, but the point is she’s supposed to be supervising and it was because she wasn’t doing her job that I tried to help.
