I remember ,when I was a newbie.
I was so worried ,one time.
I walked back into work,and handed my sup a pen and a marker. didnt want to get accused of stealing them!

I was told that when hired....if you took a pen home ....it was considered stealing......

We had a pre load supe that was getting his arse CHEWED every day over misloads and LIB's. He would go out and meet the drivers,get the misloads then store them in his personal car and run them down the belt the next morning as he was tired of working 18 hours a day due to the misloads. He no longer has to worry about working so many hours

One driver in a neighboring center was in the middle of nowhere taking a leak when a patrol car just happened to go by. he got his job back after a month or so

back in the days of Cash COD's we had a couple of drivers who would record the COD's as either Future or NM1 and pocket the cash, then repay it a week or two later. They did not get their jobs back

Stale COD's were tracked and a hot topic back then. Some drivers did it but those things were watched very closely (dates of delivery vs turn in) and eventually they got fired for it.

A clerk in anchorage got fired for stealing a box of expired pills a few months ago...she was a coke whore.

Not too long after I was hired...the guy who loaded next to me was caught stealing pills. He'd be doing for months and LP set him up and caught him with the pill bottles in his pockets. Never saw him again after they walked him out.

Same thing happened in our hub last peak...FT and PT sups walked out for stealing prescription drugs and then selling them to co-workers. They had an operation going on for a while. Cool to see a whole SWAT-like team come in and clean house mid-shift.

You know, I'm not sure...but yes I have seen people arrested and walked out for the same thing in the same hub.

I agree that it's sad, but if the guy is on his own time (lunch) and is locked in the back of his truck, who cares what he's doing to himself? The only thing that could be an issue is keeping the porn in his truck on company time after his lunch or if he got bodily fluid on the truck.

I think there is more background there between that driver and sup situation. If my sup received a report of my truck sitting in a parking lot for an hour he wouldn't be out there opening the door. He'd say, thanks but our drivers get an hour lunch...unless there was some issue with the driver stealing time/falsifying, etc.

Agreed...perhaps he was taking an extended lunch..or unauthorized break. But, assuming he was married....imagine having to go home and tell your wife that you got fired for masturbating on company time! He'll be eating government cheese and livin in a van down by the river! lol

i found out that some of our lp are convicted felons due to them hired through agency, heard 2 guys talking about their time inside.

We had a feeder driver fired for carrying on a love affair in a gravel pit with a ministers wife every Friday night/Saturday morning for a long time. Because there wasn't anything going on Saturday at the building he would take his time getting back on his return trip. He didn't even fight it.
