They have to pay like everyone else. This vehicle welfare for rich liberals has to end!
The faster its adopted, the faster it helps the poor.

Electrics are so superior that wider adoption will lead to lower transportation costs for the poor.

All new tech benefits the rich first.

This idea would unite all transportation companies, as well as any company that uses company vehicles, in a major fight against this tax. It’s not just about everyday people, but the survival of many companies.

The poor?

You know a government program is coming to pay for their mileage tax.

Electrics will dominate the entire auto industry.
I think that is inevitable but these polluting personal vehicles are dependent on fossil based energy sources.

Load leveling of electricity usage can be managed by timing of the vehicle during night hours when the total load is at it's nadir.
Personal solar power systems and local battery storing of energy offers potential to facilitate electric vehicles.
Unfortunately, a whole new industry will have to be implemented to mitigate pollution and environmental damage related to increased usage of solar power and battery storage systems.

We are nowhere near the capacity needed to charge hundreds of millions of electric cars. If they're serious about this they'll need to build a lot of nuclear plants.

Some states like New Jersey spend an exorbitant amount per mile as compared to other states. Perhaps someone should study why all the waste?

A floating truck would not be wise when launching or recovering a boat.
The truck will need to stay on the ground for traction purposes.
It doesn't have to float. It can be made to float. I can't believe I had to explain that.

The cybertruck body is rust proof. That was the question.
