He was absolutely as close to a socialist as anyone in the US at the time. Ever heard of his New Deal?
no he was like obama who btw did not pass a new deal because there was not an active labor movement which FDR had to contend with:

I've always thought of you as misguided. Now I realize you're just dumb. Of course those empires remained. They won the war. But you try to blame the war on them. You can't seem to grasp that the German and Japanese empires caused WWII by trying to take everything for themselves. And were willing to butcher as many people as it took to do so.
im not saying htat im saying US got involved because germany and japan were a threat to its emprie

Exactly how big was the U.S. "empire" at that point? The Philippines were a U.S. possession at that point. Do you think the Japanese were threatening the Philippines? They overran it about the same time they attacked Pearl Harbor. Do you think the right thing to do would've been to allow the Japanese to continue to overrun East Asia and the Western Pacific? They killed about 20 million Chinese by the end of the war. Tell me, before the war who was the U.S. attacking with its "empire?" You're so full of blind hatred for the U.S. you can't see the truth. Is the U.S. perfect? No. Has our government done underhanded things to advance our power and influence? Sure. Everyone does. Are we similar to Germany and Japan? Not even close.

The US acquired the Philippines from Spain and didn't really want it other than have a couple of bases there. They also granted the Philippines independence after WW2.

Inordinately Right
"Defending freedom" is one of my favorite bull:censored2: buzzwords. Twenty years in the Middle East with nothing to show for it but the Patriot Act and an ass-backwards dystopian hellscape. That's gonna be a hard sell. Just about every military loss in the last eighty years was a death completely in vain.
I agree but only because I don't think the people who pushed for and led those wars actually wanted to win them.

Honestly, no one can tell me we couldn't win if we wanted to. They went on so long by design, and they led to more conflict by design.

People are really getting fed up with the whole “woke movement”.

+1 🤣

"A single woman has made waves for lamenting on TikTok that all the chivalrous, masculine men in her dating orbit are conservative.

“As a liberal woman, it is really hard to find a man who is willing to play the more traditional masculine role in the relationship in today’s day and age who is not a conservative,” said the TikToker with the username @Ms_Petch.

“A man who wants to pay on the first date; who wants to open your door; who has that want and desire to take care of you and provide — who is not a conservative.”

The Los Angeles woman said that men she’s dated who do have those quality traits don’t align with her political ideologies."

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

The U.S. very much wanted it. They fought a very intense war for a couple of years against Filipino rebels who saw Spain being kicked out as their chance for independence.

Filipinos are pretty awesome people. Very nice. I've never met one I didn't like.
