I don't know, you tell me how twisted you are. And the religious advocate various public policies all the time by voting for representatives who'll advocate for said policies just as the non-religious do. Your problem is you think only your secular views matter. Parents have every right to go before a school board and say they think porn as required reading is disgusting and those school board members are in danger of being voted out. If those who think that sort of thing is fine want to keep it they can vote for such things. But don't be surprised if enough parents move their children to other districts, eroding that district's tax base.
