NEW: Trump says in the next two weeks the United States will be selling a "Gold Card". A $5M purchasable green card that will allow you to work in this country and have a route to citizenship.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration is creating a registry for all people who are in the United States illegally, and those who don’t self-report could face fines or prosecution, immigration officials announced Tuesday.
This applies to anyone 14 years or older.
Those who don’t self-report could face fines or prosecution as outlined in the Immigration and Nationality Act.

Now maybe all those bleeding heart liberals will finally stop saying that these illegals aren't breaking any laws by being here.

Many other countries have something similar.
Yes to attract big $ to boost their economy. Now when that big $ gets those cards they are going to buy assets like crazy. Foreigners are going to price our kids/grandkids out big time. It’s open season. Their not gonna come back down. You have barely 2-3 years. If that.

The various programs out there are usually for outright citizenship. I wonder how many will be willing to spend $5 million and not only not get citizenship immediately but be subject to our high taxes?
Actually quite a few.
Many see our tax rates as better than what they are charged in their own country.

Loopholes. They all want a piece of USA 🇺🇸. Now the world has open invitation. Might want to look at properties overseas.

There are better programs out there already. Malta has citizenship in about 18 months for a million or so dollars. So? Malta is in the EU. Can live anywhere in Europe including Switzerland. Portugal's Golden Visa costs even less and has incentives included. If all you get for $5 million is a green card then why not go for the other routes to get a green card for a lot less money? If you can afford a $5 million dollar fee then you can afford places like Monaco with super low taxes and super high quality lifestyle. For people looking to work and build a future the U.S. is better but if you're already super wealthy there are a lot of choices for less money and hassle.

There's already 22 million millionaires in the U.S. What those incoming rich would do is have homes built or remodeled, buy cars and furniture, open businesses. They'd put a lot of Americans to work. Funny how the Left wants an open border with millions coming in unvetted and are a net drain on the economy but see wealthy people coming in, a net positive in reality, as a big negative. I doubt the program would bring in millions of rich people but any coming in would be a plus. So hats off to Trump for making any and all efforts to improve the economy.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
