I think you're confused as to how federal buildings work in my country.
They have security because it's the Federal government's army that protects their asses. No one has the right to deface or destroy Federal property so if Trump sends in Federal officers to protect Federal property then the crazies will just have to destroy their state and local government buildings. And too damn bad if they don't like it.
