Apparently you haven't noticed that as of today some are. The system is being used to protect some in the right party and attack some in the wrong party. Look at Epstein. He got rich providing a sexual playground for the rich and powerful. When the situation could no longer be kept under wraps he suddenly died. You can believe it was suicide if you want but the independent coroner report says otherwise. And everything that would have to happen in order for him to "kill himself" happened. Not a conspiracy theory. His cellmate was moved out. The security cameras in his area weren't working(in a prison facility no less where they monitor cameras). The guards outside his cell were asleep. And any evidence that the rich and powerful who were known to associate with him at his New York and Caribbean homes has all disappeared. In light of all of this if you think that the rich and powerful politicians who become worth tens of millions on government pay aren't above the law then I don't know what else to tell you.
