Yes! The actuaries state that fund is unsustainable and will default bye 2017.

That statement is totally false. Actually the actuaries agreed that the pension could go up as long as new monies was negotiated. Default?? That is just an unsubstantiated lie!! You do our members no good by making s#it up.

Because the members in the survey wanted a pension increase since it hasnt budged since 2002. They increased it because they were told by the actuaries that it was doable and UPS also agreed.

More unsubstantiated lies. Though a steward from Long Island had asked about the possibility of diverting some of our wages to increase the pension FURTHER!! Tim said they would look into that possibility. At the next union meeting , Tim reported back that our local had brought up the idea with UPS but management was resisting.

Our pension is currently funded at 70%. Ahead of schedule for getting out of red zone.
