Too Much OT Or None At All

Threats of gross insubordination/not working as directed from building manager/supervisors. BA says it’s only that if I don’t stay after working route.

Management constantly says it for having covers come in on days off forcing to work preload or local at the low inside rate when we applied to a job that were told $18.75 base rate.

Sounds like UPS lied to you and your local isn't doing their job.

You’re conflating 3 issues.
OT, excessive OT and no OT. Most don’t want excessive OT but don’t mind working a 9.5 day. Working 5 days a week till 10pm is way different that working 5 days till 7:30.

I am so upset with our negotiating team using OT as the main push for 22.4. They are spinning this when it is straightforward. Simple issue that we wanted fixed: Everyone on a real 9.5 list with an opt-out feature for drivers who want more OT. Saturday and Sunday work should be bid based on seniority, with 2 consecutive days off, 8-hr guarantee with 1.5x pay for a 6th punch and 2x pay for Sunday / Holiday work. Done and done.

Just curious where are you out of? I feel like a Lone Ranger down South. Pissing off my local Union oh well.

IDK wtf I’m considered. I applied to a “Fulltime Package Delivery Job” position and went in for the interview a few days later and went over driving experience, etc.

Told me at end to finish 2nd stage of application for setting up direct deposit/taxes and DOT physical was next day and driving test around building. Logged back in to finish up and application online suddenly showed AM sort as title. Been there 10 months and drove peak through mid Jan then since March through current all but probably 3 weeks.
When driving what is your pay rate? Also what region do you hail from?

Cental PA.

$18.75 from ‘current’ extended contract if on a route or delivering excess ground. $13.50 for air/shuttle.

Yet the ‘mandatory’ inside work starts at $10.35/hr but hubs under same local within 20-30 minute drive start at $14/hr.
