you never served so you have no say on my character . If anything its speaks to yours that you were afraid to do your duty.

the fact is one of the reasons we lost in vietnam is because many of the officers were there to get their tickets punched and not there to win.

The reason we lost in Viet Nam was because instead of claiming real estate all that mattered was Body Count.
There are many good examples of this but probably the most famous is Hamburger Hill.
Not crossing into North Vietnam and seizing Hanoi is another example.
Compound this with government corruption on all levels and we begin to see why we lost.

Pretty disgusting some people try to use a person's military service as a shield to defend from any criticism of that person.

That's not how it works, unless you don't respect military service and just view it as a political tool. Which is pretty gross.

We tried that in Korea and got China involved. Didn't want that to happen again. Even during the Viet Nam War our main focus was still on Europe and the Warsaw Pack.

One of the rare issues that democrat and republican politicians always seem to end up agreeing on is funding the military

There’s the rare minority on both sides who are against it, but very few
