Religious leaders are a dime a dozen in making such batschitt crazy pontifications. Texas preacher John Hagee suggested all but the same thing in regards to Katrina and New Orleans.

In other news, Hats Off to the Occupy folks through Occupy Sandy in setting up a medical treatment facility in storm affected areas.


A team of grassroots organizers and volunteer doctors, nurses and social workers have pooled efforts to provide much-needed medical care in the Rockaways since Hurricane Sandy devastated the region, setting up a makeshift medical center along one of the main strips and canvassing homes to assess people’s needs.


The center is organized by Occupy Sandy, a coordinated relief effort loosely associated with Occupy Wall Street that also has several volunteer and donation centers set up in hard-hit neighborhoods, such as Broad Channel in Queens and Red Hook, Brighton Beach and Coney Island in Brooklyn.


The Rockaway medical center is located in a gutted building at Rockaway Beach Boulevard and Beach 113th Street, across the street from an Occupy Sandy aid center and a block of burned down houses. Organizers have called it the Yana Medical Center, “Yana” being the name of the community center that houses the aid site across the street and now standing as shorthand for “you are never alone.”

Here are Biden’s remarks, from the pool report:

“If you’re not an Easterner it’s hard to understand that the ocean to us is the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone Park and everything else combined. It is a gigantic part of not only our economy but who we are. It’s a gigantic part of the culture as well.

“And every time the rest of the country is in real trouble, New Jersey and Delaware and New York and Connecticut, et cetera, we respond, we respond. And it’s going to be a heavy lift. These are difficult times in terms of budgets but the president has made it clear that we are going to do everything we can to make sure that the Corps is fully funded, that FEMA has their needs and that all the programs that exist under the auspices of the federal government not only continue to exist but are funded so that we can make sure that this area of the country is fully fully fully restored.

“So as the president said when he was up here with the governor, we’re not going anywhere. We’re not going anywhere. And you’ve got a homeboy in the deal who gets it.”

PCP is actually a very good description of our current President and First Lady. Both are tech-savvy and know how to use the power of social media to further their agenda(s). Both have used television in the same way. Has any of this lowered the esteem in which the office is held? Perhaps (should a sitting President go on Letterman?) but a whole generation of people who traditionally do not involve themselves in politics are now heavily involved and politics has been changed forever.

At the urging of Bon Jovi. Springstein, Jay z ---they voted for OBAMA---PERIOD.

Many --not all --have been dumbed down -have no idea of the issues of the day and if asked do not even know who the Vice President is ----don"t even go to Sec of Defense or State!!:happy-very:

I am born and raised in Local 804.
While I will agree the large storm devasted many States -----Snooky, Christie and even Vice President Joe would disagree with you that the "Jersey Shore and Delaware" are the same.

Close counts in Hand grenades, Horseshoes and I will agree in Storms ---but Delaware is not the "Jersey Shore.
