That's what I thought until they started forcing those guys to come in and work as helpers
That happened to me last year ran out of hours on Friday and was told that I had to work Saturday as a driver helper. Fine with me. They weren't happy when I told them Saturday that I will work my guaranteed 8 hours. I was a helper for a low seniority driver that didn't know the area, so I gave him turn by turn directions for 8 hours.

You work in my building bro. First off, they are forcing Sat on the M-friend drivers based on seniority, volunteer top down, force from the bottom up. You are already a low seniority driver if you are T-S schedule. You are being forced in on Monday from the bottom up based on your seniority. If you don't like it, you should have bothered to fill out your ballot and mail it back two months ago, maybe spread the word to some other brothers, and maybe things would be able to get fixed.

No Mon-Fri drivers were forced today, we had people CHOOSE to come in today. Three drivers with lower seniority than me didn't come in today. If it was bottom up forced I wouldn't be working this Monday. Filled out my ballot the day I got it, and stood outside with Fred Zukerman the day he came to our building from 630-8, I don't recall seeing you there. So don't puff your chest out please.

Your Saturday dispatch will be much, much lighter, although I do agree that it unfair to force the T-S to work on Monday but not force the M-friend to work Saturday.

They posted a sign up list for today (I signed it) then changed their minds and told us that we will all be working. We will process about 4K packages and will run both Saturday and Monday air with the relaxed commit times. Everything will be loaded and those stops that are closed will not be sheeted and will not be pulled from the car. No pickups except for sweeps of bulk pickups such as the UPS Store.

You need to file a grievance.

Saturday dispatch today was 290 stops 350 pieces. They called us all in at 6

Then file bro. What center are you in? First letter if you don't want to write it out. I went shopping and went to the movies with my kids. Sorry you didn't make sure the staffing had lower seniority drivers.

I am a Tue-Sat driver. Today at PCM my center manager was looking for volunteers from our Mon-Fri drivers to work Saturday, no one was being forced just asking to lighten us up a little. So i asked do the Tue-Sat drivers have to work Monday. He said Yes, from now until Christmas we have to work every Monday.

How is this fair? If you are a Mon-Fri driver you still get your two days off, but if you are a Tue-Sat driver you are forced to work 6 days until Christmas. I have family just like the Mon-Fri drivers, I have gifts to buy, and my body needs time to recover. I do 320 stops+/550 pieces a day. Now I will be forced to so that 6 days a week.
320 stops is bs.....no matter what route you have ... Stop it!!

Run out of hours by Friday. Stop running, slow down.
And if you are forced to work on Saturday, put the plow down and make sure that you move slower than molasses on a cold winter day. Demand an 8 hour day on your 6th punch and make that last 10-12 hours. Take all your lunch and breaks in daylight.

We had a curfew that was determined by delivery area. Mine was 1430. I was done by 1400.

We are rolling loads every day.
I didn't work Saturday.
I didn't work Sunday.
Demand your 8 if forced.
Suddenly they will find they can do without you.

Work a long day Monday, stretch the rest of the week a bit and you will have Saturday's off until Christmas. :)

320 stops takes you more than 10 hours on the clock doesn't it?
320 for 550 is a ten hour plan with a helper for 9. At least in my building it is.
