I know several people that have been rehired two and three times.

I knew a guy who worked for UPS 4 times. We joked that he would return every year for peak, like some sort of mythical creature. Rumors of his existence would haunt the other peak hires. "Just you wait a couple more weeks, you'll meet him." And when they all had dreams of some kind of bigfoot santa claus, we'd laugh because we knew when they finally met the guy they'd realize he's nothing majestic, just some A-hole with no life skills.
Sure enough the last time he quit, our manager created an indefinite no-rehire policy in my center. I've talked to other people who tried to reapply here and HR has told them that our manager has barred them from ever rehiring anyone else, specifically because of that guy who kept coming back.

We had a guy like that up on the boxline slide. Always came back at starting wage. It would be like he was off on a long vacation and just came back.
