Some of this AI goldrush bluster is just Musk-style empty promises. Like the cybertruck that didn't make it to market for half a decade, then was already overpriced and unwanted. Like many promises he made, and the SEC just ignored.

Now the tech giants are going to play the same games.
Yes, every new thing thought and brought to market is a scam. Example -cybertruck

Preload would give them a groomed load like in the training videos. Lip loaded. Smalls containers and shiny shelves. Plus with robot drivers they will send waves of vans/trucks
Preload is incapable of creating a load like in the training videos.

These dudes can barely read.

These robot drivers know to deliver downhill only if snow is on the ground, or to back up if on a grade? Hard to turn around uphill on snow/ice.

Will start in dry flat experiment places first. Then push routes resulting in re-looping. Drivers through attrition will transfer centers. Tech will learn from terrain mistakes and share data.

You can’t picture automation doing the job as it currently is, which I agree with.
But automation opens up the possibility of a much more efficient job, different from ours. More routes in, technology supporting the automation for fully automated hubs, different delivery methods for an automated truck.

I don’t know about during my lifetime, but I could see some of your current coworkers witnessing the first fully automated test hubs in their careers.
