Wouldn't Call one day a week an addictA gambler who always wins is called lucky. A gambler who always loses is called an addict. Luck is the only difference between the two. I'd prefer to not leave my future up to luck.
Wouldn't that be the "easiest" day for a new hire? To just do basically residential splits? I mean, there's no commercial stuff going out is there? Save for maybe a few airs?Yes, I don't know of a single non bid holder who volunteers to do it. Currently they have been using new hire FT drivers fresh off the boat for T-Sat coverage, but as they ramp up the FT swing drivers will start to be forced to a T-Sat bid.
The new hires have been floundering out there, hence why they are begging regular drivers to come in and 6 punch.

Aye aye captain butt cheeseIf that one day were done in moderation I would agree with you.
When you circle the day on the calendar and write "Getting black out drunk tonight." Then you are an addict.
But not all retail commercial is staffed to handle full receiving on Saturdays. All retail commercial would still be open. I don't know about your center but about 85% of our routes has retail on it.
A lot of retail commercial (Target, Walmart, mall stores, etc) don't have anyone in receiving on Saturday. Take it to customer service and wait in line? But not all retail commercial is staffed to handle full receiving on Saturdays.
I don't think those mall stores will want to see full carts come through the door during a busy crowded saturday.
Can anyone post the article? Thought this was still in testing phase
Good for you. No place else requires working on Saturday. Plus they probably pay a bunch more. LolIf this is true I'll be finding a new job. Eff this. Saturday is for my son who I only see on the weekends
A lot of jobs require employees to work on Saturday and work six days a week. I have worked six days a week for almost 40 years off and on. Either or get off the pot and give someone else the opportunity to work and provide for their family.Good for you. No place else requires working on Saturday. Plus they probably pay a bunch more. Lol
