Did the threadthis thread seems redundant . we already have one on the tariffs
China is using coal power to build that junk.
Now try doing that without environmentalists tying it up in court.
lets keep the tariff talk on one thread . its hard to follow all these breakout sessions. Is an @admin here paying you by the thread created?
Naw I get paid when old men who know each other start then capitulate trade wars.lets keep the tariff talk on one thread . its hard to follow all these breakout sessions. Is an @admin here paying you by the thread created?

You said the U.S. doesn’t have enough sun to make solar viable. I just showed you that was wrong, don’t move the goalpostsNow try doing that without environmentalists tying it up in court.
It still may not. You'd have to put that solar farm, 100 miles by 100 miles, out in a very rural part of the Southwest. Probably Nevada. In the winter there you could have several days at a time with heavy cloud cover. And you'd have to build transmission lines from it to connect to the grid. My understanding is the farther you transport electricity the less you have. So theoretically you could produce enough electricity but in practice why isn't anyone attempting to do so?You said the U.S. doesn’t have enough sun to make solar viable. I think it would be so awesome if Elon got the right to not hate or dismiss renewable energy so muchIt still may not. When I said it doesn't work for much of the country I was referring to having solar on houses in much of the country. It certainly wouldn't consistently work outside the "Sun Belt". And in other countries, notably Germany, it was a total bust. They are too cloudy. But had to bow down to the climate activists first to prove it isn't viable by investing billions in it.
Elon is a great promoter of his all electric cars. Of course we can electrify everything! If it's truly viable and absolutely necessary to save the planet then a president will step up and do it. Haven't seen anyone besides Elon Musk in your clip saying it's possible so let's do it. Solar makes sense in the southern part of the country, especially the Southwest. Wind makes sense in the middle of the country and off the coasts.
