At this early stage only task facing the media is to get out of the way and allow law enforcement to do it's job.
True, but if it were a caucasian suspect and the victims were of a minority background, would the suspect get the same treatment from the media?

It would depend on the individual news outlet. They all play to the demographic makeup of their audience.

Yeah, just like they did in the Zimmerman case, uh, no, not that one. Was it the Jewell Case? No, they were all over him. Hmm, the shooting of Michael Brown? No, wait, they pretty much convicted Officer Wilson in the press. I know, they held back and said nothing negative about Kyle Rittenhouse!!! No, that's not right either. Brett Kavanaugh? Donald Trump? Dang, is there not one conservative the liberal media hasn't vilified before trials, hearings, appointments, impeachments? And they never seem to get it right but dang if they don't keep trying.

They were declaring Rittenhouse guilty before the bodies were cold.

Vs Monday:
President Biden on Monday mourned the victims of what he called a "horrific act of violence" in Waukesha, Wis., after a vehicle plowed into a holiday parade, killing at least five people.
