You should ask your steward these questions. If you are not satisfied after talking to your steward, call your local and speak with your buildings business agent. Be ready with the specifics if you call the local. Basically grievances can be filed for many different things, however they should only be filed if it's warranted.

There are two reasons for grievances:

1) There has been a contract violation. You file on this and have proof that it happened.

2) Disciplinary violation. The company disciplines you in any way and you feel it is unwarranted or is a violation. You file on this and then the company must provide proof that discipline is not a violation
