The US has for a number of years backed Kurdish rebels in their efforts to combat ISIS. The Turks and the Kurds have been at each other's throats for generations each with a score to settle with one another . The psychotic decision by Trump to pull US troops out of Northern Syria will do nothing more than to hand the Kurds to Erdogan on a silver platter giving ISIS the opportunity to regroup in other parts of Syria. The is purely a decision by Trump and no one other than Trump over and above the objections of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
