what we did on the railway shouldve been illegal. it actually is illegal to drive on the job in the middle of the night if your tired. but the govt and police turn a blind eye.

Truckers do it all the time. It's the employee's responsibility to get enough sleep when off.

Doesnt mean its safe or legal

Don't know about Canada but in the States truckers keep log books and have to be off so much after driving so much. There's cheating going on by some but since log books have gone electronic it's a lot harder to cheat.

No the companies and govt are too corrupt to set up or enforce a system where drivers are actually legally rested and safe
