I didn't realize teamcare isn't just the teamsters insurance for ups it's every teamsters insurance. So they are pooling all of our money together. Basically socialist.
Ups puts more money in than anyone else so my insurance should be better.

The day they do this, yours and my pension will be no higher than 3,500 a month. Not the 5k you will receive as it is now. As I said, if Hoffa is general pres. There will never be a strike. It will be the same if Hall is pres.

UPS bought out New England and their projected pensions remained the same. New hires would see the reduction.

Our pension used to be $7K/month. It is now just over $5K/month. $3.5-4K/month is still better than most plans.
How much to you think your benefits package is worth?
This also includes social security match.

That is what I'm explaining to you. You and I will get the great pension. If UPS buys our plan there is no sense to have a union. It's about control of the pension. The union loses whatever leverage it would have. The day this does. I will feel sorry for the new driver if it happens
You will pay taxes after 28,000. Your healthcare costs 13 to 14 k. Not even close.

For me. I don't know if I would do this job. If I would get 3500 a month. Right now. I make as much as my pension a month. 5K plus. They will only pull in 2 weeks work a month. Almost not retiring. SAD
