I hear 89 was a big year for high quality off the street hires.

In all honesty off the street hires were held to a higher standard in the 80's. Quite often now the off the street driver is a friend of a supervisor and is held to no standards

Do you ever offer to help your fellow drivers if they are in trouble? Do you call in before you leave your area to see if anyone needs help? Do you take NDA's from a neighboring driver because you will go right by the stop on your way out to your area to relieve him of a heavy air dispatch? The job works much better when you lend a hand as you are a team.
