Working vacation week is it time in a half?

Curious what it would take for many of you to work a week.

Before they changed the policy, I would work the occasional vacation week. I would do it to help fund a major project around the house.

As I said, they changed the policy, in part, as my on car would say, why would UPS pay us twice?

I say it's time and a half all day, unless you have a supplement that says otherwise.

It depends on your supplement.
Here it is time and a half for all hours worked if you work a scheduled day off. This includes optional holidays and vacation days.

Yeah my wife gets 8 weeks of vacation so I feel like basically work a vacation to pay for a vacation. If we are going out of the country or something.

On the other hand I totally get how hard it is to go to work when one doesn't have to.

I am sitting home today using last sick day. It rained yesterday, last night, this morning and is supposed to rain off and on all day.

Great day to run some errands and go watch "Jack Reacher".

It has more to do with already being paid for the week than treating it like an unpaid day.

No, but it's in our supplement that if they do force you, its triple time.

For triple time I'd deliver in a banana hammock. Bring it on.
