eric adams is corrupt lol
What has that got to do with the price of tea in China? You keep avoiding the fact that you support a guy like Mamdani because of his far Left ideas yet you can't explain how all of that is going to be paid for without raising taxes to incredible levels. And when they do the taxpayers are going to vote with their feet and NYC and possibly the state too will collapse.

By other countries you mean Europe. Very high taxes and high unemployment. It's why most of the world invests in the U.S. You are denying the reality that has already.happened. Florida has had a huge increase in population because the wealthy of many.blue states, particularly NY, have moved there because of low taxes. And a guy like Mamdani will accelerate that exodus.

europe is 6%. thats not high.

australia is 4%

japan is 2.5%. life expectancy almost 10 years more than america.

lets stop being afraid of taxing the rich. lets relive our glory days by doing same policy of over 90% income tax rate.

The top 1% pay 40% of income taxes. The top 10% pay 70% of income taxes. The bottom 50% of income earners pay a few percent of all income taxes. You don't have a clue as to who pays what. And the rich never paid 90% of ALL their income in taxes. The 90% only apllied.to a small portion of the income of extremely high income earners.

top marginal income rate in america was well over 90%

top 1% have 22% of the income. top 10% have 50% of income. but i get the sense alot of them dont actually work....which leads me to my next point:

top 10% has 90% of all stocks.

Europe is 6% overall but some European countries are much higher. And youth unemployment in some countries is more than 25%.

Australia has less people than Texas and is blessed with many natural resources. So of course their unemployment is low.

Japan has one of the oldest populations in the world. Their economy is slowly imploding because of the lack of young people.

And for the millionth time, life expectancy is the average of.all deaths. The U.S. has a lot of people dying young from drug use and from gun violence. That brings the overall life expectancy average down. Millions of Americans live into their 80's and beyond. There are probably more Americans 80 or older than Canada has people.

That 90% rate only happened at a very high level of income. Translated into today's dollars a person would have to make millions a year to see a portion of it taxed at 90%. You think everyone with money back then was paying 90% of it in taxes. Not so.

and yet all these other countries have considerably better life expectancy than you

germany for example is way more population dense than america. so dont make excuses.

were talking about unemployment. if you switch to youth unemployment it will be similar or wait for it....maybe theyre actually going to school!

dont make excuses for life expectancy. americas is unusually low considering youre the wealthiest country on earth.

why are you amongst a bunch of mediocre countries for life expectancy.

Already told you, drug use and gun violence kill a lot of younger people. That brings down our life expectancy average. Take the gun deaths and drug deaths out of the equation and we have one of the highest life expectancy rates.

i dont think its just guns. we have overdoses as well but ours is actually normal for a western country. your politicians are demonically corrupt. for example you have for profit health care and the politicians are currently making it worse.

Are you dense? I repeatedly said guns and drugs. Again, for the dense, if you take drug and gun deaths out of it our life expectancy goes way up.

wrong

the max income law which did not get passed was 25000.
Did you even read the article? His proposal had nothing to do with the 90% rate of the 1950's. He was flat out saying no one should have more than $25k after paying taxes. The 90% rate in the 50's was only triggered by a very high income and took only a portion of that income at 90%. Most income was taxed at lower rates.
