I suspect problems you had at work were because of your attitude.
its because power corrupts

for example

i worked at a unionize govt hospital. we werent getting much lunch initially.
i do nursing. were under pressure to finish on time and it makes it less safe.
i worked on a railway. the equipment and hours are dangerous.
worked at union car rentals. the managers were toxic and abused a coworker with mental problems.
worked at ups. the hours were very long. its obviously not safe.

workers can create their own jobs. doesnt work the other way around as you agree.
Then by all means go ahead and do that. What you'll find is you'll work twice as long and twice as hard just so you can say you work for yourself. Which is why most people take jobs given by companies. They don't want to spend all the time necessary to start, run, and maintain a successful business. But you know better so show us how it's done.

So? This is nothing new. Hard work is just that, hard. Take your railroad job. How do you expect them to make working around moving rail cars and other equipment not dangerous? Even then there are protocols in place to maximize safety if you follow them.

Which laws are discouraging people from starting businesses?
most laws are designed for traditional corporations.

the law may vary state to state.

absence of a right to convert capitalist to cooperative law.

tax laws

employee vs employer laws

And yet amazingly people start businesses all the time including many one man operations. There's absolutely no reason you couldn't start your own business unless of course you're lazy. Can't whine about the evil boss when you are the boss.

we live in a society dominated by monopolies and a stock market where top 10% own 90% of all stocks

in addition in italy they have marcora law which encourages cooperatives. italy has more than any country.
