I walked in on one watching Chinese ping pong on YouTube
WTF
One hell of a tradition at my center with people walking in on managers diddling people.

Then they leave. Maybe resurface couple years later. Maybe not.

I think corporate tolerates it because it gives them leverage over their managers.

Ill tell you what is really sad.
The amount of drivers thst ended up getting a buyout because they had permanent career ending injuries.
Lots of them are runner gunners! Take care of your body that’s the only one you have and the company doesn’t care. Definitely get a good work comp lawyer or you’re gonna get screwed.

Actually the last few weren't runners.
I think its the amount of work that they put on everyone plus the ridiculous size and weight of some of these packages we have to deliver

For sure it’s not all runner gunners, but they go down a lot sooner. Most of us have not used the contract to its full advantage, especially with overweight packages and asking for help. Over time, packages like that take their toll on your body. And the amount of them we have now is greater than it’s ever been.

if Corporate knows, they're gone; most management discipline is handled by their Division or District managers, who are probably the dumbest actual people we have and love brushing things under the rug and yes a lot of time it is for leverage and "favors"

Would make sense from a liability standpoint.
