To cover routes left vacant by regular drivers who only seem to want to work 2 or 3 days a week?I'm confused. Why would we pay for CDL training for part timers. What do they need a CDL for?

Well you're obviously trolling but you're a stupid one that doesn't even know what a CDL. Driver's don't need a CDL to deliver packages smart guy.Is is all set up to train employees to deliver packages with the attendance bonus. Come in early get a bonus to learn how to drive a package car. The pay difference is so large ups management would be negligent to not use part time pay rates against full time employees in contract negotiations.
We found out during the 1997 strike a Ball Bearing in a Slingshot can go a LONG waysRead his post again
Screw that scab. He wants to drive if we go on strike
I'll be as non-run flat tires and 50 replacement windshields for his car
It’s so odd, no pt’er in the building wants to drive anymore. Started seeing it in last 5-6 years.. they used to have to put up 3 sheets of paper per open driving bid, now it’s one sheet any only get 3-6 signaturesUPS already offered the part timers $100k/year to drive a package car and most of them said no.
Job sucks and they know it. They see the drivers everyday. Plus they don’t want to work anymore either. SlackersIt’s so odd, no pt’er in the building wants to drive anymore.
