Integrad in Portland.
Just graduated from there last week.
- Know the 5 seeing habits word or word, no excuses. Know the 10 point commentary bold print words exactly and be able to convincingly describe them to the instructor.
- Know the drive drill (the sheet with the triangle of numbers... with the eye lead time as 1, eye follow time as 2 ect ect ect.) for the 45 eye movements driving test.
- Know the driver commentary (based upon the 5 and 10) for your drivers commentary test.
- Iron your uniform EVERY DAY.
- Cleanly shave EVERY DAY.
- Shine your shoes EVERY DAY.
- Be familiar with the pre-trip inspection sheet.
- ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have your seatbelt on before you start the engine. That is an immediate fail on whatever test you are on.
There are multiple tests that are pass or go home:
- Drive drill
- Driver commentary
- Uniform inspection
- Final DIAD
- Final 60 question knowledge base test
It was very challenging, but was very rewarding and a big accomplishment to make it through to the other side.
Good luck.
