I wish I was part time.
Not even close. I'm less than 6 months from cutting the cord...I like this but you sound like the old shart guy a lil bit.
So these bigwigs got credit for a resilient system not cracking from stupid decisions? If they don't have the "Midas touch" then taking on responsibility and succeeding implies that they got lucky or exist as a scapegoat.LOL! A bigwig achieves that status from moving the needle in his previous positions. Doesn't mean they have the Midas touch or that every future decision will be right but it means they have successfully taken on more responsibility and greater challenges than the hecklers in the peanut gallery.
False. Had to transfer to make it happen though.Full timers aren't allowed to go part time any more.
My manager asked me if I wanted to go PT instead of retiring. March 2022Full timers aren't allowed to go part time any more.
My better half was told PT was reserved for new hires. 4 positions opened and she was denied them all, with nearly 25 years of service. She retired. Now I'm stuck with her all day!My manager asked me if I wanted to go PT instead of retiring. March 2022
Why didn't your wife on her rural 4x10 simply bid on one of the open 5x8 routes that typically only get 6 hours of work and then effectively could have been "PT"?My better half was told PT was reserved for new hires. 4 positions opened and she was denied them all, with nearly 25 years of service. Huge if true.So these bigwigs got credit for a resilient system not cracking from stupid decisions? If they don't have the "Midas touch" then taking on responsibility and succeeding implies that they got lucky or exist as a scapegoat.
That's when a call to HR is warranted to verify or debunk. Dumb allowing a 25 year courier to retire when they didn't have to.My better half was told PT was reserved for new hires. 4 positions opened and she was denied them all, with nearly 25 years of service. She retired. Now I'm stuck with her all day!
Tried to downgrade last year, SM said nope, too short handed. So I retired. My manager asked me if I wanted to go PT instead of retiring. March 2022

With inflation hovering close to double digits, it has to be a step at least.Back on topic here.
We were told announcement regarding raise to be shared next week.
There is no "has to be" anything with fedex unfortunately. Should be maybe but not has to be.With inflation hovering close to double digits, it has to be a step at least.
I take it as a badge of honor that someone who doesn't work for the company will create an account to argue with me.FTFY
