Knew a couple of drivers who went through it.Even if he keeps his job it will haunt him for the rest of his life.

"OSP said the boy went into the street as the truck began to move in the cul-de-sac."
R.I.P., kid. Too bad no one was watching this 4 year old when he rode his wagon into the street.
It doesn't matter why the kid is playing in the street. It will always be the drivers fault.I bet his parents had seen this kid do the same thing a dozen times and didn't discipline the kid---other than maybe just say "Johney- don't do that". I feel for the driver. My brother-in-law (also a UPS driver) hit 2 kids on a snowmobile. They were coming around a corner in the wrong lane on a country road. Neither of them were hurt seriously but it sure caused a lot of grief for my BIL trying to keep his job. In the end he did.
Was the kid named Dave?![]()

Don't you mean "avoidable"?It doesn't matter why the kid is playing in the street. It will always be the drivers fault.
I bet it was.Was the kid named Dave?
Had a young lady run out behind a car at an apartment complex. Scared me to death. So grateful I barely saw her.I don't know how I'd get over hitting a dog, never mind killing a kid. Always expect a kid (or anything) to pop out of nowhere.
