If you were making $90k/yr and take a paid 3 hour lunch break every night, why would you want to change anything?
Well, we’ve been over how things work at your building. I guarantee you no one’s getting a three hour break at my building. They will, however, try to get rid of those 22.3 jobs if there’s not enough work for them. So in essence, I’m trying to save there jobs.

You say the package cars are filthy and now you say there is not enough work for everyone. Which is it? There is plenty of work at my building, management is just cutting hours except they can't cut the FT car washers which is where all of the waste is. And how do you know no one is taking a 3 hour lunch break?

Are you dense? 22.3 are not allowed to wash the cars right now they can only gas them and move them. The company is using language in their bid of “work as directed” for them to unload trucks the rest of the time which is really not their job.

What the hell are you talking about? You said a three hour paid lunch. Who’s getting a three hour lunch on the clock? We are break in Pay. No one’s going to do that. Longest lunch we have is one hour and a half half for 22.3.

Seems like a foolish answer myself

Your ignorance to how 22.3 jobs works is really telling. The company gets rid of jobs purposely by taking their work away. They are already shifting car cleaning duties to drivers that we have no time for nor can we even do. There’s absolutely no way to clean out the inside of a truck when it’s full of packages when we get there and when we leave at night. That way they can move those jobs elsewhere. If the car wash is not allowed to wash cars eventually there will be less car washer. Article 18 section 1 of the national master says we should not be forced to take out vehicles that are not maintained clean and safe to operate.

And he's going to be the first one to complain when his job goes away because of it.

The company chooses to look the other way when there is no work for the FT car washers yet they are still guaranteed their 8 hours. Maybe a 3 hour paid lunch was not the right thing to say. How about just hang out until your 8. Previous supervisor said I don't care what you do after your work is finished. Our FT car washers volunteer to unload just to get done earlier and go hang out. Steals work from all of the PT Hub Union members.

I would tell those guys be very careful, some new management person or some management person that isn’t in on this little game is going to assume they’re stealing time.
Walking around, pushing a broom or taping up boxes is not sitting around getting paid to do nothing. I would definitely look busy at the very least.

I know the preload job better than 99% of preloaders out there, haven't been a preloader in years

Make sure you wipe those windows good!
I've had multiple sups who can't even seal a trailer properly. Had one who put the cable seal on the chain latch but never put the chain on...it was just there hanging down unlatched. ...seriously?!?!
