GoodFT car washers are not going to like that. There goes their paid 3 hour lunch break.
Starting with me.I heard they are getting rid of all the 40+ year part time employees who make $45 bucks an hour.
Using $23/hr PT single day vacation coverage drivers instead of air drivers now. Even when no one is on vacation.I think you even things out by doing delivery work. At least you claim that you do...
They all have their hiding places.I would tell those guys be very careful, some new management person or some management person that isn’t in on this little game is going to assume they’re stealing time.
Walking around, pushing a broom or taping up boxes is not sitting around getting paid to do nothing. I would definitely look busy at the very least.
Do u ever think UPS will ever offer a buyout to hourlies like you, we have some red circle part timers still limping around who aint even thinking about retirement. Very happy with the current pay and situation. and they all hard workers.Starting with me.
Had 2 mechanics and a 22.3 walked doing that. They did get their jobs back eventually but they was during a very good string of years. Now? See ya.They all have their hiding places.
There are so few of us left that the company will just allow us to die off naturally. $45/hr PT jobs are hard to find.Do u ever think UPS will ever offer a buyout to hourlies like you, we have some red circle part timers still limping around who aint even thinking about retirement. At least we still have training. It’s a lost art the younger ones just don’t want. The phone seems to be their only way of learning. These people would sink if they loaded by the old chart system.I train the trainer trainers who promptly ignore my training because it's not obsessed with misloads
half of these guys panic anytime the system's down. Most don't even know where the route even begins after being on it for over a yearAt least we still have training. Don’t get me started on taking pride in your work.
Porters. Are you dense? 22.3 are not allowed to wash the cars right now they can only gas them and move them. The company is using language in their bid of “work as directed” for them to unload trucks the rest of the time which is really not their job.
What the hell are you talking about? You said a three hour paid lunch. Who’s getting a three hour lunch on the clock? We are break in Pay. No one’s going to do that. Longest lunch we have is one hour and a half half for 22.3.
Don’t have. Some places do we never have.Porters.
Never many of those but they are retirement gigs if you can get one.Don’t have. Some places do we never have.
Still holding on to 2 22.2 jobs. They were just recently recently informed there will be no more customer counter shortly.Never many of those but they are retirement gigs if you can get one.
Ours is already goneStill holding on to 2 22.2 jobs. They were just recently recently informed there will be no more customer counter shortly.
When anyone with a 22.2 retires that job is gone for goodOurs is already gone
in my building the customer counter was a top rate jobWhen anyone with a 22.2 retires that job is gone for good
Right before I retired I had a chance to get one but didn't want to hang around any longer. It did take having enough seniority to be able to retire to get one.in my building the customer counter was a top rate job
That's why all the old timers fought to get it.
Wouldn't count on it...There are so few of us left that the company will just allow us to die off naturally.
