I would rather wait, and keep current insurance then give in. We have to at least hope our local leaders won't cave.

I haven't followed it closely, but AFAIK, "Harris" had the option of paying an agency/service fee instead of the full regular dues. I believe that this particular bargaining unit will now be allowed to become "freeriders", or RTW. They are under the jurisdiction of Illinois' public sector labor law.What's going on with right to work right now in Illinois?

They are paid with Medicare/Medicaid funds, administered by the State. "Harris" is paid to take care of her son. The State is not 'controlling' the worker/work environment in the traditional employer/employee sense.I think that's a issue with contractors. I don't believe they're paid AS EMPLOIYEES.
