8 hour request

Do you have 54 drivers working in the center or more on the day they say they put in 54 routes?
Usually, there would be a local agreement and understanding about those gray areas and numbers. 55 would trigger the next eight hour day. But often times the company throws extra routes in the day of claiming volume was heavier than they thought.

The national language says a MINIMUM of 10%. If the word minimum was omitted maybe there would be some room for different interpretations but the way it is written makes the meaning pretty clear. If you have 54 routes, 5 eight hour requests is less than 10% and they need to grant a 6th. If that ends up being 12% or whatever the math works out to then that is just too bad.

The central language goes further and says “the objective of the languages to allow as many different employees off as possible”. Seems they should error on the side of More. Not less.
