I’m pro union and it’s very disheartening to see a lot of people in my age group not give a :censored2: a about it. Reason why mgmt and sups get away with so much. They simply don’t care.

I think that ups will not put up with any more union.they will let us walk and replace us. The diad will tell them where to go. will they be as good?won’t matter. Look at fed ex

Will not happen..Cold War scenario...both parties have too much dirt on each other...Feds would have a field day...

Things are pretty good now and probably will be better by 2023, why mess it up...

Would of if they could of...back in 1997..

Remember we are essential workers ...Management not so much...

I agree.

However, more likely it would destroy the company or perhaps damage it beyond repair. This was realized in 1997. Nothing has changed except its a lot bigger. It would take a long time to restaff and especially train. Think about that.

We have spent billions modernizing and building infrastructure.

One other possibility...........UPS refuses to sign and sells to Amazon. Amazon takes the time to rebuild and restaff. Boom.

Why not?

Who knows..maybe Amazon will have their own Union by 2023.

Why would UPS want a lock out, they know who is running this company and making their profits and it certainly isn’t management.

We might end up buying Amazon?

Just one small little hiccup
Amazon is worth about 15 times more than UPS

Shoot for the stars...why not..

I just get tired of the “chicken littles” saying doom and gloom buying into the victim mentality.

I was around during the “97” strike..everybody knew it would last past 2 weeks including management. We were on the news 24/7 back 24 years ago..

There were no replacement scabs, no one crossed after the first day. It was no picnic but it was not the end of the world..we made history plain and simple, it was the last major nationwide
US strike that made a impact.

All times and much different right now.
In my opinion the strike will be too costly to both sides
I also remember the strike of 97 and I was able to get Thanksgiving week off because it was begging people to use their days

Well, it was sort of a picnic. We had a grill pretty much going 24 hours
a day. Nice August days, under a big shade tree. Nobody was scared.
Everybody knew it wasn't going to last. And we really had the public on our side.

We had more than one package guy come back with about 4 or 5 extra pounds.
Sitting around eating beef and drinking beer will do that to you.
Honestly overall, it was a good time. Because everyone knew it wouldn't last.
And time off for the lower seniority guys in August was awesome.
