Affirmative Action Struck Down By SCOTUS

Whataboutism is a sign of low intelligence. Right, the Supreme Court, one third of which is comprised of unqualified judges appointed by a con artist is definitely a better arbiter of Equal Protection than decades of judicial precedent set by qualified judges. I don’t work for FedEx.
First off they weren't appointed by the president. They were approved by the Senate. Second let's look at Brett Kavanaugh. He had an excellent record, was highly regarded in judicial circles, was recommended highly by his former law professors, was an accomplished legal scholar with published law school text books. But you would never know it if you listened to those that smeared him, in front of his wife and kids no less, in hopes of keeping a conservative judge from being seated on SCOTUS. Absolutely reprehensible what they did to him. If you have evidence that any of Trump's selections weren't qualified other than they are conservative let's hear it.

If that’s what schools actually did, it would be fine. They historically haven’t, however. Affirmative action, though far from perfect, put guardrails up to make sure qualified Black kids couldn’t be denied entry into college because Brittany Ann and Lindsey Lou’s dad was an alumnus and/or donor. I really don’t understand how this concept is so hard to understand.
"According to @AOC, Harvard is racist because 70% of legacy applicants are white. Just ignore the fact that 71% of America is white,"

Nothing, except when it excludes kids who don't have access to the same opportunities. There will be an extreme over-representation of Asians. Your side acts like it's a great victory, because all of those Rust Belt kids will now "succeed". No, and never, because they won't do the hard work. The SCOTUS decision gained your side nothing but "getting their way". It's completely ironic and hypocritical to have Clarence Thomas, who was a product of AA, have anything to do with it.
You can't level a playing field and a fair game when some of the players have both hands tied behind their backs.
The lawsuits were brought by Asian-Americans who were harmed by being rejected in favor of students with less stellar records but had the right skin color. That you would bring in white kids with poor records as if this was some plot to get them into Harvard over black kids says more about you than anything else. And Clarence Thomas is from an era where blacks had legitimate grievances about being accepted into any non historically black college, let alone an Ivy League school.

A lot of mediocre, uneducated middle class white folks are about to find out just how mediocre their kids actually are and they won’t have the token “minority got a handout” excuse to help them cope 🎻
Spot on. I would suspect that a lot of high school diploma parents are going discover that Darcy Ann and Robert Lee are flat out just too damn dumb to handle a college curriculum leaving them with no one to blame it on and their "whataboutism" sack is completely empty.

Some benefit however will come out of it. Think of all the additional applicants there will be to fill up those $15 an hour zero benefit Ground grunt jobs.

You know, referring to them as “blacks” is kind of a giveaway.

There’s no one mediocre white folks like to blame for their predicament like the folks of color who they feel are beneath them. It’s been a thing since the civil war.

And just exactly corroborated data do you have to offer supporting your claim that racial bias when it comes to college admissions no longer exists?

The senate can't confirm a person to SCOTUS until the president first nominates them.

Are you calling Sonia Sotomayor a racist?

"Sotomayor, the nation’s first Hispanic on the high court, spoke for the dissenting justices, going on more than twice as long as Roberts. “The court’s decision today is profoundly wrong,” she declared, referring later to, “the court’s own impotence in the face of an America whose cries for equality resound.” The practices in dispute have historically created opportunities for Blacks, Hispanics and other minorities that have traditionally been underrepresented on campuses."

If a black has the same excellent academic record as anyone else then it should go to other criteria such as extracurricular activities. If a black has a 2.5 grade average and is picked over someone who spent 12 years maintaining a perfect grade average but the black ticks off a quota number, is that fair? Let the black go to a state university where 2.5 is acceptable. If Sotamayor doesn't agree with that then she is a racist.

Who said there isn't racial bias? If you pick blacks with so so academic records over Asian-Americans with perfect gpa's aren't you displaying racial bias? If both have perfect records and Asians are already well represented then it's certainly fair to pick the black applicant.

Nope. And if anyone with a 2.5 is admitted to an elite academic institution they’re likely to be in over their head academically when they arrive there.

It can make for a nice freshman class picture but there’s a high chance that they won’t be in the graduating class picture.

They could get student loans Biden promised they wouldn't have to pay back.
