Fred's Myth

Nonhyphenated American
Bezos announced that he was looking for a corporate headquarters and would seek out someplace with terms to his liking. This was pure corporate extortion and blackmail. You want to build a structure you play by the rules, local zoning ordinances and your own money. Isn't that the conservative way? And your BS is coming from a guy who is so broke that he couldn't even pay his own hospital bill instead had no choice but to throw himself onto the taxpayer dole.
You really need to buy a dictionary and look up the actual definitions of extortion and blackmail.

Regardless, your villain is a Democrat.

And New York points to what Foxcomm did to Wisconsin as a good example of OPUD Over Promise Under Deliver. Governor Scott Walker got scammed by Foxcomm and the voters of Wisconsin ran him clean out of office.

And this has been going on for years.

Back in the late 80's the food processor I worked for was #3 in the space and was bought out by#2. The government of this county bent over backwards to assist with the buyout. Cut rate loans, loan guarantees everything that a small local government could do to help facilitate the purchase they did.it. All done on the basis of promised expansion and a doubling of the workforce to more than 600.

Six months after they bought the place you could plainly see that they weren't committed to it. In fact my coworkers and I were on lunch break reading the press release reiterating it's prior promises while at the same time we looked down to the other end of the building and there they were loading up equipment that was being shipped out to another plant in another state that they owned. Seven or 8 more months and that was it for the 300 who remained. Despite what they publicly stated repeatedly they were going to do was never what they actually intended to do all alone. Buy production volume only.

Another one of countless examples of how and why corporations have ability to lie and deceive just like anyone else. After all SCOTUS said that corporations are people too.
Foxcon has absolutely nothing to do with this.

You're simply deflecting because you've been proven wrong. Typical for you.

New York's message to Jeffy was clear and concise....."Yeah, it would be nice to have you but we were here before you got here and we'll be here long after you're gone. We ain't as dumb as Scott Walker and you're not going to do to us what Foxxcom did to him and Wisconsin. So here's the deal if you want it. If not....it's hasta la vista baby'.
And then there's Nashville, which offered Amazon incentives of $15 million over the course of 7 years. The result? A regional HQ and 5000 jobs to go with it.

There's a reason the south is growing like gangbusters and other places are not.

Radicals dont run the democrats, smarty pants

Bernie, whos not really a socialist, was too much to bear for the establishment democrats. They prefered a neo fascist trump over watver reforms bernie offered!
The establishment democrats aren't uttering a peep in favor of or against radical transgender issues. The radicals loudly and proudly support all of that stuff and look to cancel anyone who objects.

The radicals have the party by the gonads.

Extortion? Governor Cuomo said that the state and city would get a combined $9 in new tax revenue for every $1 they gave to Amazon.

I'd love to be extorted like that.

90% of the "issues" Trumplicans scream and yowl over would disappear if they would let go of their bigotry.

Well I'm a conservative so I don't believe in massive taxes like left wingers. But I respect your opinion.
I agree the amount of taxes we pay is insane.i think we might find out that we are paying for a lot of these politicians spending cash. I mean in the millions. Yet, these big companies come in and pay no taxes yet there constant movement of there vehicles on the roads in the city they are at tear up roads. That is just one down side. There are plenty of others.. a lot of times they don't bring new jobs to the area. They just bring their people, and create a couple hundred of low paying jobs.

They pay taxes.
But the fact is the burden of taxes is always put on the citizens, whether it's directly from the state or passed down from the business in the form of higher prices.

25,000 jobs at an average salary of $150,000.
New York radicals ran them off.
Which is fine, it's their loss.
