Let's be honest. The Democrats are kicking and screaming because they didn't get what they wanted. Ergo, a single Supreme Court Justice is now the greatest threat to our constitutional republic since Ft. Sumter. Hearing Kamala Harris call the nomination process "illegitimate" is absolutely incredible. Either she's a liar, ignorant or thinks the rest of the country is, which is a distinct possibility.

"Happy for us that when we find our constitutions defective and insufficient to secure the happiness of our people, we can assemble with all the coolness of philosophers and set it to rights, while every other nation on earth must have recourse to arms to amend or to restore their constitutions." --Thomas Jefferson
A Constitutional Conference or an Amendment?

Madison specified the procedure outlined in Article V that says amendments can originate from one of two sources.

First, they can be proposed by Congress. Then, they must be approved by a two-thirds majority in both the House and the Senate before being sent to the legislatures in all the states. If three-quarters of state legislatures vote to approve an amendment, it becomes part of the Constitution.
A second method allows for the petitioning of Congress by the states: Upon receiving such petitions from two-thirds of the states, Congress must call a convention for the purpose of proposing amendments, which would then be forwarded to the states for ratification by the required three-quarters.

All the current Constitutional amendments were created using the first method.

Frequent, the implication being he is in favor of changes to laws and constitutions.

The constitution was never meant to be seen as perfect handed down by god.
That's why we have the two Amendment processes which have been enacted so that we now have 27 Amendments.

The US Constitution has 27 amendments that protect the rights of Americans

More like instead of checking speaking notes (regurgitated information). One questions the situation. Looks at the data. Wastes a bit of time running the numbers and complies the data. It's called thinking for yourself, not whatever your lead warped boomer brains do during screen time.

They are Democrats. They'll kick and scream but they won't do anything about it. When they get opportunities to make change in their favor, they take on their "responsible, serious people" role and let it pass on by. Michelle Obama's "they go low, we go high" was just another way of saying "we're afraid to actually govern."

Sounds like a devout Catholic. Just like Biden and the Speaker of the House Pelosi. Can't imagine trumps base being very happy about his choice. Says she will follow the law and not her faith. Sounds like a closet liberal.
tbh I really think trump may be a closet case as well. i think he has been nothing but a republican trojan horse. I think he despises politics and realized he can literally mock the presidency in this nation, as well- the president! I mean its just flat genius. I really think he has, with the help of Americans- reduced the presidency to - well, a reality show. At least for the foreseeable future. I really think people will be bored by a normal person as president now. But the fact we elected a guy like trump with no history of any elected office... the damage is done and is irreparable. Our credibility is done. I think that was his whole mission. And he accomplished it in spades.

Yes that’s what you do by taking Democrat’s side on opposing the legitimate scotus appointment.
