Then why do you feel that drivers owe you a meal, as you stated earlier? The least they can do is nothing....and that's exactly what they "owe" us.
I think his mommy gave him his "tips."

Congrats and put every bit of money in 401k that you can!
Wrong. They only make a difference if you let them get to you. Ignore them. They will be transferred soon anyways. That is excellent advice.
Congratulations and good luck. I hope you get a good sup. They can make all the difference.
More routes you know, the more chances you get to work when thing slow down. 1 route knowledge means you go home more than you might want to.I strongly disagree and suggest that the OP learn as many routes as possible to make himself as much of an asset as possible
Congrats! You will have to put up with some bs till you make book, but once you do you're golden. Also once you do make book, don't forget your guaranteed 8 hours everyday. You will be over a ton especially with slow time coming. Shuttle away!
Don't you mean, "Where is a mod, when you really need one??"?Where Is a mod? when you really need one??

That's not news to you.Oh great, another smartass Mod!!!
Why is he not guaranteed his 8 hours when he works? I agree he most likely will not be working everyday. We have about 15 new drivers working one or two days a week right now and some will be laid off until Spring. You are not guaranteed 8 hours, so don't get your hopes up. And if there's a lot of guys ahead of you on seniority then your really gonna be frustrated trying to get work. Not trying to discourage just telling the facts. If your young and single with no bills you are the perfect candidate for a ups driver.
We have maybe a dozen new drivers working one or two days a week. When they do work they are guaranteed their 8 hours. Can't split up a route and give it to two drivers for 5 hours each.Cause the bottom 10 percent aren't guaranteed 8 hours. There was just a few posts about it.
