How could the OP have been sent home if he was told not to come in to work?
Since the OP did not request his guarantee, he is out of luck in asking for pay for the days that he missed.
Show up Monday morning at start time ready to work.

He was called before his shift started and told to stay home.

It doesnt matter whether he was called before his shift. Working as directed still applies.
Woohoo!!
Catfight!!
Having that issue right now with a close relative. Pre seniority 15 working days. Posted start time and area. Told to go home after an hour two days and told to go home another day. No work problems but the weather has been very cool last couple weeks so guys that normally take off when it gets hot are staying. Told him to just be cool and when you get your 30 days in then you can start demanding your guarantees.Do you have a start time, or are you on call? If you have a start time, then go into work, you get the guarantee(if you qualified), if no start time(on call), then you are out of luck.
If he was told to stay home, and there are less senior guys working, then he is guaranteed 3 1/2 hours of pay.He was called before his shift started and told to stay home.

In the West we get 6 sick days per year. And allowed to bank 75 days. We also get 4 personal days.We don't get sick days. Don't work, don't get paid. Or use one of your two optional days.
Pre seniority. No one lower. And how would he know that? You guys have no idea what it is like to be pre seniority or even having made your 30 days. No wonder the young guys don't want to join the Union. If he was told to stay home, and there are less senior guys working, then he is guaranteed 3 1/2 hours of pay.
Not a catfight, just two adult having a discussion.
