Oh, I thought you said don't replenish, leave it in the ground like Biden is doing?

Makes no sense to replenish the reserve with high priced crude when you can wait till prices come down.

Actually, what you’re saying makes no sense why even have the strategic supply at all? Because we cannot possibly know when we actually need it if it’s supposed to be strategic. If It’s that important money shouldn’t be the main concern.

The difference here is you think I haven’t. And you think I think it’s important to go talk to those people when in fact, it does very little to change anything ever even when you come with a check in your hand.
Funny, I'm not going in front of the district rep today with a check in hand. In fact one of the things on the agenda is the future of the states elder care system. Like every other state it's a state with a growing senior population. Likewise another item will be flood damage and steps to control flooding in the future. Once again you're already got your mind made up. I prefer to allow public consensus to have a chance dictate public policy.

You could make that argument since the Reserve is a throwback to the 1970's when it was predicted that the US would run out of cheap domestic crude oil. I believe we should have a reserve but how large is debatable.

Hasn't oil prices been lower since Biden did his election time draining of the reserve?

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

That’s why it’s called “strategic”, something he can’t grasp.

Yeah, let’s wait till it’s cheap enough lol OK when’s that gonna be? Doesn’t seem like they understand what an emergency means and how you prepare for one that you don’t know is coming. Maybe we could just tell the people who mean us harm to hold off until we get our oil supply back?

Somehow the fools that follow Biden and the commie democrats think they won’t be affected. They continue to vote against their own interests as long as it means they can cling to the foolish policies they espouse. It’s a mental disorder, no doubt it.

The majority of refineries
in the United States are located along the Gulf Coast, particularly in southeast Texas. Three states dominate US refining: Texas (47 operating refineries), Louisiana (19), and California (18). These three states contain 45% of all US refineries and 59% of all US refining capacity.

The last significant oil refinery in the US was built in 1976.

But no oil was purchased at that time either.
Because Democrats blocked it.
Trump is the only presidential administration where the SPR experienced a net decline in inventory levels.
Because Democrats blocked refilling it.
Moreover additional funding must first be passed by Congress before bids for replacement oil can be requested.
And Democrats blocked that.

Facts matter buddy.
