I’m much more fan of elected sheriffs and their departments. They seem to want to uphold my constitutional rights a lot more than the police who are really just policy pushers (hence their name) controlled by mayors and city Councils. It’s breathtaking how little many of them know about the constitution that they swear to uphold.
