I didn’t at all. I fully acknowledged what he said was right and how ridiculous it is to expect opinions to not change over time.
I then asked why single me out when the guy I’m discussing this with did basically the exact same thing as me.

What a great qualification as long as you’re in your house, you shouldn’t be shot but otherwise if we feel dangerous, even though you’re unarmed we’re just gonna shoot you and it’s OK.

Truth is, I can agree with him about the idea that I don’t really like like no warrants. It is curious that he picked this particular one which isn’t even even a good example of them going to the wrong house. It’s because he’s virtue signaling of course everyone knows that. I am hardly a fan of no knocks but the point is that doesn't apply here. Blame the drug dealer boyfriend for shooting at the cops. That would make him the one guilty of murder even if he wasn't the one who shot her.

Personally, I feel they knew where he lived. They could’ve arrested him at any time.. but I understand your point and I do understand that people are sick of drugs and crime. I don’t however feel it’s a great idea to give that much power to police. Just my opinion.
