Business isn't a cash cow for financing government largess, it is the reason an economy exists at all.
To free business from onerous expenses, including taxes and over-regulation, is GOOD for the economy.
Coveting profits to finance free-to-all social programs that inhibit the economy is backwards.
A thriving economy allows all those able to work an opportunity to prosper.
So, no, Obama didn't pass a 'kick ass economy' down to Trump.

The fantasy you have is that the wall will be built and abortion will be banned. Any movement in that area is now on hold and likely for the duration of the current congress.
This is simply round 1 of a 15 round political slug fest. Movement on any major legislative initiatives is slowed if not stalled . Continuing investigations and committee hearings will now control the agenda. By the time it's over the 2020 campaigns will be underway and the outcome will likely be heavily influenced by the discovery if any of more damaging evidence of obstruction tax evasion and abuse of power by Trump and his officials, a slowing economy and given the losses sustain by historic floods in the Midwest food inflation caused by tightening supplies. Message , momentum and simply being in the right place at the right time win elections.
