The IRS wants to know about your crypto transactions this tax season
The federal government has placed more emphasis on tax reporting in recent years for investors in bitcoin, ethereum and other cryptocurrencies.
Crypto transactions are entered the same as stock transactions----you need to have the purchase date and price paid (basis) and the sale date and proceeds, with tax due on the difference between the proceeds less the basis. I recall one of my co-workers at Block having to deal with some 30 pages of crypto transactions for one client-----each transaction had to be entered separately.

Satellite go down we might have to start talking to each other in person. Or start using land lines or the Postal Service maybe even Morse code. Radio shack baby. I have read articles about using a ham radio or SMS technology for bitcoin.
